The location was excellent!! Sea views, bus stop outside the door, next door to two pubs and a Thai restaurant … would stay here again for the amazing location! Definitely recommend upgrading to a room with a sea view!!
We had one of the curved rooms on the front, and I loved the windows. They were beautiful and functional — we could open them all for a strong breeze or just a couple for gentler air flow.
The towel warmer in the bathroom was a nice touch and warmed the entire room on a chilly night!

Easy access for all of Jersey from the 10 minute bus station. Beach and cafe within 5 minutes walk. Elizabeth Castle and the Marina view from our room and to the left was the stunning beach. Very interesting and necessary history all round to learn about the hardships of the Island over the years and how they have prospered since. Loads of lovely restaurants for a variety of choice. Get a 1, 2 or 3 day bus pass and just hop on and off when a place takes your fancy!

It was so clean and there were plenty of amazing shops, restaurants and bars. We were lucky to be there for Liberation Day which was amazing. You don't actually need a car as everything in the town is in easy walking distance and the buses take you all around the Island from the centre of town. Everyone we came across was friendly and the atmosphere in town was warm and welcoming. The only down side is that they still operate Sunday closing where almost all the shops are closed. The place was deserted. We made the mistake of eating at Bohemia which is a Michelin starred restaurant. Not only super expensive but utterly pretentious and the staff were particularly rude. St Helier isn't a cheap place but we had a lovely meal at Aromas and The Oyster Box in St Brelades Bay. The Island is small so all the places are easily accessible by taxi or for those fit enough by bicycle. There was plenty to occupy children too.

I hadn't considered what to expect in Jersey but was pleasantly surprised.
The island is beautiful with a very laid-back feel to it.
St Helier is the perfect size to walk around with plenty of places to eat and drink, and nice quality shops. It has the feel of a nice country town.
Be aware that most restaurants close around 9.00pm so don't get caught out!
The bus from outside the airport took us straight to the town and it is easy to travel around the island from the bus station in St Helier. Helpful staff and a choice of bus tickets for longer stays.
We took an afternoon tour around the island which helped us decide which areas we wanted to visit again. We visited in spring so the blossoms were out, and Jersey has the most beautiful vast beaches.
Friendly and helpful people everywhere we went which added to the experience.

Lovely, bright and spacious room (we opted for a sea view room - beautiful). Room very clean. Bed was huge and very comfy.
Great shower. Nice soft white towels.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Lots of useful info around the hotel.
Good breakfast buffet, good choice on the evening menu. Fantastic special 4 course buffet every Friday evening.
Nice pool and outdoor seating.
The number 1 bus into the town centre stops right outside the hotel.
Airport transfers to and from available.
The food served was excellent and very enjoyable. Our room was not large but it was one of the standard rooms and it had everything needed. TV, shower, comfortable bed, tea and coffee making facilities. The pool area was lovely to sit around in the sun. We loved the restaurant, it had a lovely ambiance and we found all the staff very friendly. There was parking behind the hotel and the town centre and harbour was a short walk away.
Do not get me wrong but, this could be a very nice hotel, but it requires a thorough make over, carpets need thoroughly cleaning or changing and the bathroom we had was very tired unfortunately. The hotel is not in the best of areas & quite a way, a 10 minute walk from the Town centre The staff are extremely nice & helpful.
The hotel location was perfect, the mix of a quiet location on the edge of the town centre but a 5 minute walk and you are in the centre of shops and restaurants.
The room was spacious, light and the sea view was amazing.
The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive.
I enjoyed the spa , swimming pool and hammam. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The room was clean.
We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, so I cannot leave a comment on that.
The free car park and the proximity with the city centre are very appreciable.
It was a relaxed and well maintained hotel with spacious gardens in a lovely setting. Loved the pool facilities. Close enough to bus routes and leisurely walks into St Helier. Stayed on a half board basis and meals were delicious. Staff were friendly and welcoming.
The helpful, welcoming staff, the spacious en-suite room, easy access during the day, short walk to the town centre (via the nearby tunnel under the castle) and the super breakfasts! In fact, the hotel was BETTER than the description given on Booking.com.
Very good location and comfort. We were allowed to leave our luggages at the Norlfolk hotel, which is the same company as Villa Nova and which is very close. We could also have a good breakfast there (10£). All the staff has been very kind and helpful.
The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the city and its attractions the hotel was excellent value the dining staff were great kept the dining area spotless the food was excellent value all in all a great hotel would recommend it
lovely older hotel but had a pool and sauna. Food in the hotel restaurant was exceptional and breakfast was a full buffet, delicious.
all facilities great, friendly staff let us store our bags all day until night ferry
The hotel is a 15 minute walk from the town centre which we liked. The staff were friendly & helpful. We enjoyed the pool & sauna. Great breakfast & good value for money!
Our first stay in The Hotel de France.
Very comfortable hotel with friendly staff.
Easy walk into the centre of St. Helier.
Free car parking available on site.
The hotel is across from a beach so we could hear waves lapping in our room. However, since there is a bar and restaurant with outdoor seating, it was noisy.
